These days our planet has been polluted by many elements which affected in unreasonable way. One of these elements is the common building in which we can live, work, play and also protect us from nature extremes; for these reason ecologists have created a new way to defend the planet: GREEN BUILDINGS, here are some details.
This kind of environmentally friendly project was been used around the world because of its efficiency and in this text we are going to talk how successful was it in the renovation of an architectural construction, The Audubon House-New York City, United States.
The Audubon House, which was a 19th-Century structure in downtown Manhattan, was transformed into one of the most energy-efficient, environmentally-responsible office building, made up from waste stream and common materials such lumber, drywall, metals, masonry, carpet, green wasted related to land development and others. Its constructed, finished by The National Audubon Society, was completed in 1992.
This new green building, which is considered a key to create new spaces for benefits, has a philosophy, which is: “Saving energy is really only one tiny part of green buildings”. They said that because it increased productivity.
Also green buildings have examples of environmentally friendly aspects, such:
• Reuse and recycling of materials is a component of a general practice called “green building construction”.
• At the end of a building’s life, demolition generates a large amount of materials that can be reused or recycled.
As we can see, a green building is the practice of creating healthier and more efficient models of construction that help to have a better world.
